The more I am apart of weddings, the more I realize how incredible life is. I was excited for Stephanie + John’s wedding to come. They had planned out the perfect day and we had planned to go to Hawrelak park for some of their photos. This was we would be able to go to the Ice Castle too. I had met Stephanie and John about a year ago when they first started planning their day. They knew they wanted to have a Yellowhead Brewery Wedding right away. I love the Yellowhead Brewery for weddings because of the beautiful interior with all the bricks.

We went down to one of the pathways in the Edmonton river valley to do their first look. John waited down the stairs with the bridal party in anticipation to see Stephanie on their wedding day. This moment is why I love doing first looks. It is such an intimate moment in the day that the couple shares. Just as we finished their first look, the snow softly started to come down around them. Which definitely made their photos look like a winter wonderland. The three of us headed into the Ice Castle to do some photos of just the two of them. They were a huge hit in the Ice Castle as everyone just stopped to look at them as we walked around. Who wouldn’t stop because they looked stunning on their wedding day. You can really tell these two love each other by the way they instantly smiled at each other when they looked at one another.

I am so lucky to get to work with the most incredible couples and meet their amazing families along the way. I had met Stephanie’s family at her sisters wedding last summer. It was so great to see them again and be apart of another stunning wedding. Their wedding day was so amazing from the beginning to the end and I am so grateful I got to be the one to capture their love story!
