Island Lake Wedding

I was so excited when Kim contacted me about photographing her wedding. The wedding was a bit of a secret, as Kim and Wyatt wanted to be able to surprise people afterward and telling them personally about their wedding day. I knew Kim and we have a few mutual friends, so I didn’t tell anyone I was heading up to Island Lake for her wedding. Kim and Wyatt met at Big Valley Jamboree, 7 years ago now. Wyatt actually kept his camping pass and wrapped it around Kim’s bouquet for their wedding. Which is so cute that he kept it for all these years and they were able to incorporate it into the wedding.

Since Kim and Wyatt decided to tie the knot this summer, they only had a few weeks to plan her wedding. It turned out beautiful! Kim’s dress was custom made for her and also vintage. The boutique only had about 3 weeks to work with the dress and built the corset, created the halter strap and hemmed it for Kim.

Their wedding was gorgeous and got married on the shore of Island Lake. Kim and Wyatt’s son and dog got to walk down the aisle too. After the ceremony, we hopped on a boat and headed across the lake to a little forest area. We were able to explore the area taking photos, while their family friends waited in the boat for us. Then they headed back to their cabin to celebrate with everyone for the evening. A perfect day! Congrats to Kim and Wyatt again! I am so excited for both of you and to be able to be apart of your beautiful Island Lake Wedding!
