The Getting Ready

Kristen and Justin got married on Kristen’s parents’ acreage in Falun, Alberta. They have a gorgeous property that had a ton of space for these two to get married. Kristen was getting ready in the house and had her bridesmaids by her side while she finished getting ready before heading out to the ceremony. We had to make sure she wasn’t to close to the windows as it got closer to the ceremony, just so no one would see her before she walked down the aisle with her dad. Justin and the groomsmen were getting ready in a trailer just behind the house. I headed out to it to take a few photos of them. They had a little trouble getting those socks on but it made for some great photos watching them struggle a bit.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was absolutely stunning! Kristen and Justin were surrounded by their closest family and friends and they watched these two tied the knot. Justin may have been excited to get married and ended up saying “I Do” twice, which made all their guests laugh. It was perfect! After the ceremony, we headed to a few of Kristen and Justin’s favorite spots for photos. Kristen and Justin grew up only a few streets away from one another. They definitely both knew the area pretty well.

Kristen and Justin absolutely love to have fun together. You can absolutely tell by their wedding photos. They were constantly smiling at one another and making each other laugh. Their bridal party was right there with them. They definitely kept me on my toes, because I never knew what they were going to do next. One of the groomsmen, Austin was definitely the comedian of the day. I had a blast with all of them and couldn’t stop laughing with them! Definitely one of the best bridal parties!

The Reception

Their reception was close to where their ceremony was and was at the Mulhurst Bay Community Centre. Kristen and Justin’s main focus of their reception was getting to visit with all their guests throughout the night. They wanted to make sure everyone had lots of time to hang out with one another and have a laid-back reception. Which I think they definitely accomplished that! I saw many of their guests going from table to table visiting with one another throughout the night. It was a celebration that night and I am so grateful I got to be a part of their day! Thank you again for allowing me to be a part of your amazing and beautiful day!
