Edmonton Mirage Banquet Hall Wedding
Taylor and Brandon have been together for over 10 years now. They first met in grade 5 and started dating in grade 8! You don’t hear a lot about junior high sweethearts staying together and I think it makes for an incredible love story. On their 10th wedding anniversary, they went to Vegas and Brandon popped the question in front of the Bellagio fountains. They got the whole thing on camera too! Which is always amazing to be able to look back on it.
Getting Ready
Getting ready photos are always some of my favourite, as everyone is excited (or a little nervous) to get to the ceremony. I arrived as all the girls were getting finished up with their hair and make-up. I could tell immediately it would be an amazing day with all the ladies.  Taylor ended up wearing the same earrings her mom wore on her wedding day, which is so sweet I think. meanwhile, my second shooter was with the boys a few mins down the road.
Mercer Tavern
We ended up heading to Mercer Tavern for photos. We were going to stop at a park before but it was very muddy and didn’t seem like the best idea with a white dress. Mercer Tavern was a great place to do the photos. It was a little chilly and windy that day and it gave them an opportunity to take breaks and warm up inside. Plus Mercer Tavern is a great place for photos! Therefore, it was very relaxed as everyone enjoyed a drink or two and that is exactly what you need on your wedding day. Taylor and Brandon are so easy to take photos of but I knew that after doing their engagement session. They are incredibly sweet together and know how to make one another smile.
Reception
As you can imagine, being together for over 10 years, the toasts were amazing. As everyone has known each other for some time and Taylor and Brandon have the same friend group even. One of Taylor and Brandon’s friends ended up passing along a duck to them that had been passed on from before and will continue too as well. You can check it out below too. Right before the first dance, I was told a secret, that Taylor’s dad was going to sing during their first dance, as her uncle played alongside him. It made for a very special moment! After the first dances, the dance floor filled up to dance the night away. It was an incredible day and thank you, Taylor and Brandon, for allowing us to be apart of your day! Congratulations you two, wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!
