Buffalo Mountain Lodge Wedding | Banff | Ani + Brennen

Ani and Brennen had been anxiously waiting for their big day. All their friends and family made their way from different cities in Canada to help them celebrate their wedding in Banff. Their Buffalo Mountain Lodge Wedding was wonderful not just because they had a gorgeous venue but because they were surrounded by so many loved ones! Awhile back one of Ani’s bridesmaids, Alisha had helped her look for a photographer. It was a huge honor when these two ended up booking me! I remember being so excited about shooting in Banff and being apart of their wedding.

Ani and Brennen’s love for one other is so radiant and genuine. Brennen wrote a very sweet letter to Ani that she got to read that morning. I’m sure she was grateful to read it before her make-up was on because I’m sure there were a few tears shed that morning. As the girls drank mimosas while getting ready, the boys were celebrating the day in their hotel room. Ani put her beautiful dress on and all her bridesmaids watched as her mom helped her. They all had such caring and sweet looks on their faces as they watched their best friend/sister get ready to walk down the aisle.

The Ceremony

The doors opened to the ceremony and Ani and her dad walked into the room. All the guests rose at the sight of them and she was gorgeous! I’m sure she took Brennen’s breath away. Brennen followed the Swedish tradition and gave Ani a gold band as her engagement ring. Then following the tradition, Ani got to see the diamond ring for the first time on her wedding day. She also got a blue sapphire motherhood ring as well. As they were announced as Husband and Wife, all their friends and family cheered for them!

Downtown Banff

We headed downtown for photos and stopped traffic three times to do photos. Most of the cars stayed stopped when the light turned green and I saw a few people bringing out their cameras to capture this too. The bridal party was so much fun to work with and everyone just seemed to be enjoying this special day. These two are so natural together that they just look so in love no matter where we took photos. It’s adorable to see them so cuddly and I love when a couple can just be in the moment with each other. They smiled, kissed and laughed with each other and are truly in love. It’s so special to see two people who are madly in love with each other tie the knot.

After the cake cutting the bridal party and I headed across the street where there was this amazing view of the mountains. We took a few more photos before the sunset and the first dance. Ani and Brennen, I loved getting to know you, your families and your friends throughout this process. I am so happy I got to be a part of your day!!!
