Miss Katherine took her first adventure out and came to my studio in Edmonton. She was officially 7 days old when she came to the studio for her photos and beyond adorable! Katherine ended up being born on the same day as me and we now share a birthday! How awesome is that. I was shocked by how much of a mover Katherine was when I first put her on the beanbag. I would put her down and before I could grab my camera, she had rolled into a new position. I think she will end up rolling over and crawling pretty early in life. By the time we got to the basket shots, she had fallen asleep and was so peaceful.

As an Edmonton Newborn Photographer, I get to meet so many families and do different things with each family. Travis and Sarah also brought their own first teddy bears they received when they were born. When I put them beside Katherine, she just curled right up to them. I actually think I had Sarah’s first teddy bear, the dog when I was a child as well.

I had a blast getting to know Sarah and Travis when we did their Maternity photos. They didn’t know if they were having a girl or a boy until Miss Katherine arrived. I am so happy I got to meet her and very grateful to be a part of her lovely life journey. I think we got some amazing first photos of her!  Welcome to the world Katherine!
