Vanessa and Cody wanted to do a first look but they didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony. They wrote each other notes and read them privately behind a door at the hotel. This way they wouldn’t see each other before the ceremony but still got to share a special moment together. The day of their wedding they were calling for rain. I think Vanessa and Cody were hesitant to have their ceremony outside at the Stoney Creek Centre but I think it worked out amazing! These two definitely lucked out with the rain! We got caught in the rain during photos of the bridal party but it was minor and only lasted 10 minutes. Cody took his jacket off and gave it to Vanessa while it was raining to cover herself. So cute!

I am seriously blessed with the most amazing couples. Vanessa and Cody are exactly that…absolutely AMAZING! Both as individuals and as a couple and as I look at their images, i can’t help but smile. These two have a great love story and it was apparent when most off the speeches mentioned it. Cody had asked Vanessa out many times before she said yes. He must have won her over (Obviously) because they got married. Each location we took photos at had meaning to Vanessa and Cody. After the ceremony we went down into the park to take photos. We had taken their engagement photos in this park as well. Then we headed off to Augustana University. This is where the couple met a lot of friends and Vanessa now works at the Historical Building as well. Before heading to the reception, we stopped at Mirror Lake. Mirror Lake is where the bridal party stopped for an ice cream pit stop. Vanessa and Cody also rented an apartment before from the lady who runs the ice cream shop. How amazing was that. I loved all the thought that went into the locations!
