Saint Joseph Basilica Wedding

Getting Ready

I ended up only doing the girls getting photos for Stephanie and Bob’s Saint Joseph Basilica Wedding. Sometimes the groom and groomsmen choose not to do the getting ready photos, which happens more often than you think probably. Stephanie was getting ready at her parent’s house with her family and bridesmaids. They had a cute getting ready station set up in her parent’s basement for all the hair and makeup.

Ceremony

Stephanie and Bob get married at one of my favourite spots in Edmonton, the Saint Joseph Basilica. It is absolutely stunning inside! After they tied the knot, we headed to the Alberta Legislature for photos. You can never go wrong with this location, as it has some gorgeous spots. When I first did Stephanie and Bob’s engagement session, I learned pretty fast that Bob could easily make Stephanie laugh and anyone basically. I wasn’t surprised when we did the groomsmen photos and they were all pretty funny to joke around with. After the legislature, we headed to Craft downtown.

Stephanie and Bob first met while attending the University of Alberta and were both in the education program. They met up again after being in school to catch up and it was first at Craft, their first date. After they had a few beers at Craft, we stopped in at Hotel Macdonald but only Stephanie and Bob. They left the bridal party to hang out in the limo. Which is great to do on your wedding day to make some time for just the two of you!

Reception

I didn’t stay very long at the reception but went to photograph the details and their guests arriving. I was able to even sneak a few more photographs outside of the reception with a gorgeous brick wall! It was an incredible day and thank you, Stephanie and Bob, for allowing me to be apart of your gorgeous Saint Joseph Basilica Wedding! Congratulations you two, wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together!
