The Getting Ready
I had brought out Charla’s details to her parent’s backyard for photos. Charla’s mom had come out and asked if I could hang her dress in a particular tree in the yard. She had explained that this was Charla’s tree and it was planted when she was younger after a successful surgery. Of course, I thought this tree was perfect for her dress! Charla and Armand were so happy while they were getting ready. They seemed relaxed and ready for the fun to begin.
Have I ever mentioned that I absolutely love doing first looks? I am sure I have but they are just the sweetest moments when the couple first spots one another. Armand knew there was going to be a first look but Charla tried to surprise him and do it right before he was supposed to be picked up for the first look. I especially loved Armand’s expression when he first saw his bride for the very first time.
The ceremony was down by a river and a few minutes from Haultain Hall. They had a bus come and pick up all their guests to take them down to the ceremony. This was one wedding that no guests could be late for it or you would literally miss the bus! The benches at the ceremony were actually made by the couple. I thought they had possibly rented them but was amazed to find out they had made them for their day!
The Bridal Party
Charla and Armand’s wedding party was so much fun. They didn’t stop having fun the entire day and that makes my job so easy. I love how the smiling never stops on wedding days, from the moment the bride and groom first see each other, to all the guests and family and right until they leave the reception too. Charla and Armand were probably one of the sweetest couples I have worked with. They were absolutely up for anything- even leaving their reception to go down the road and take more photos. You can see how happy these two are from the photos. I am so grateful to have been apart of your special day and I wish you both all the happiness in the future as well!
