Brianne and I have done a styled shoot every year at a workshop. This year we weren’t attending any and decided to put together our own Buntzen Lake Styled Shoot! I flew out to Vancouver to visit her and to do the Buntzen Lake styled shoot together. She had arranged for Juli and Justine to come and do the make-up and hair for the shoot. They were amazing and I had a great time hearing about their businesses as well.
We started off by going to Barnet Marine Park. It has the most massive trees in this park and I was amazed because they are definitely not that big in Alberta. The way the light was shinning through the trees made the photos so dreamy. At this location we used our Tim Hortons cake we made. We had bought a bunch of timbits and made a donut hole Croquembouche. It turned out great and I will show you next week on my blog how to make one! I think it would be great at a bridal shower or a baby shower!
We headed to Buntzen Lake for the second location of our shoot. When we arrived they told us we only had 30 minutes before the park closed. We hustled a bit to string up our mason jars to do photos with them. While we were stringing up the mason jars, a group of guys came over to congratulate the couple. They were so friendly and we even got a group photo with them when we finished. They even offered for us to join them for dinner but the park had closed by then and we had to get going.
I loved Buntzen Lake! It is so gorgeous and you can see the beautiful mountains across from it as well. I think our Bunsen Lake Styled Shoot turned out great! I had a great time working with the models from the shoot as well. Total Success!
