I was so excited to do this Edmonton Maternity lifestyle shoot. January is known to be a colder month in Edmonton. Some people like to shoot in the snow but its so hard to predict what the weather will be like for the shoot. I’m glad Amanda and James decided to do a lifestyle shoot instead because the snow was coming down hard and was a very cold day the day we did their shoot. Their little boy, Owen is beyond adorable. He had me laughing the entire shoot! He would just look at us and giggle….like really giggle. We had decided to do some photos of Amanda reading to Owen. Owen didn’t want her to stop reading at all. He definitely loves his books and kept bringing books to us. I bet he would sit there and read books all day if he could.

I loved how we used different rooms for their shoot. This offered such a variety to their photo shoot and you can definitely do that during a lifestyle shoot.  Owen helped out with a few props, as in some toys and books which was quite cute. There is one toy he holds up to his mom’s belly all the time and is one of the photos below. Amanda and James had waited to find out the gender when they were pregnant with Owen. So of course they have decided to wait to find out the gender for this one as well. Amanda and James are the sweetest couple and I had so much fun shooting in their home. I can’t wait to find out if they end up having a girl or another boy and to meet their newest addition!
