Fall Edmonton Laurier Park Engagement Session

I met Danielle and Brennan at Laurier Park for their engagement session. They brought their adorable dog, Rhett as well. Rhett was adorable and would sit and look at the camera every time! I’ve done a lot of engagement sessions with pets and they usually never stay or even look towards the camera. It was so cute to say the least.

Danielle and Brennan are so cute together and their session was full of giggles and smiles. It doesn’t take much to get these two to smile because they just have to look at one another. I was absolutely obsessed with their outfits for their session as well. They changed halfway through and I think both outfits were on point for their Fall session. I can not wait for their wedding next July! Find out a little more below about Danielle and Brennan’s Love story!

How did you meet?

Brennan and I first met at a party in high school, we had some mutual friends but did not really hit it off until probably 6 months later.

Describe your first date?

Brennan and I were friends for about a year before we officially started dating. So around Christmas time as our first official date, he took me to a World Juniors hockey game in Edmonton which was a pretty big deal as there were plenty of his buddies that would have killed to go. I pretty much had to make it official at that point ha ha!

How did the proposal go?

The proposal: I had been waiting for Brennan to propose for a very long time. Many of our friends were engaged and I was getting quite impatient after 8 years of dating. On Dec 21, the night before we went back home for Christmas holidays Brennan wanted to go to the legislature to see the lights. I could not understand why as there were 90 km/h winds and it was awfully cold. I grumpily put on sweatpants and 15 layers while Brennan had put on a dress jacket and nice clothes. I still did not catch on to what was going, we picked up our friends and one had bronchitis and the other had an injured knee and I still could not understand why everyone wanted to go see the lights. Brennan did not waste any time when we got there. He got down on one knee on the bridge while our friends took photos and held our very confused pup on the side. I was in complete shock! I thought the ring was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen and I was completely sure that I was going to know when it was coming. To my surprise, my sister got engaged about 12 hours after we did and my brother got engaged about a month prior and all 3 of our weddings are in the same summer. Sorry Mom! Sorry Dad!
